Well, first you have to do the climb....and it's not particularly easy, but it's doable.
The Hanging Lake Trail, located at the Hanging Lake rest area in Glenwood Canyon, is 1020 feet uphill in the length of 1.2 miles. It's a rocky trail with about seven numbered bridges.
Hanging Lake will possibly make your jaw drop. It's more mystical than it is beautiful as it literally seems to be hanging off the side of the mountain. The geological explanation is layers of travertine (dissolved limestone) that have built up over the years.
The lake is obviously very fragile. It's been placed on the list of National Natural Landmarks.
