Driving the Grimsell Pass, elevation just over 7,000 feet
The Mt. Pilatus cogwheel train is the steepest ini the world. It has a maximum 48 percent incline and travels between 5 and 6 mph, depending upon whether it's going uphill or downhil.. It traverses Mt. Pilatus near Lucerne at an elevation of 6800 feet.
