Many words come to mind to describe New Hampshire's Rye Harbor, but sweet seems the best adjective. Postcard perfect, quiet and with a state park that offers spectacular views of the dramatic rugged coastline. And, of course, the coastline continues as you travel northward on the 1A (Ocean Blvd) where pullovers for taking in the views are numerous.
I ended up on another day going back to Rye Harbor on the day before a storm was approaching. Watching the fog make its way from the water inland was fascinating and made for some great pictures.
It will probably go down as one of my favorite places on this two-month trip up the Atlantic Coast.
