...Büren
in the state of Westfalia
house and rape field

Not much can be said about the small town of Büren, but I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of a small town surrounded by rolling plains.

The bright yellow rape fields dotted the area in summer, and winter took over with fierce snowfalls leaving a quiet white wonderland. .

I was never without a scenic spot to visit, new or old, warm or cold.

Büren is located just south of Paderborn in Westfalia, roughly 350 miles (551 km) northeast of Frankfurt and 180 miles (289 km) southeast of Hamburg. Its population is around 20,000 people.

This view was one of my favorites in my neighborhood. Below, the same scene is shown on a snow-covered winter day, and another with a rainbow reaching across the sky after a spring rain.
