Budapest gets its name from the early merge of two cities, Buda and Pest, which are geographically divided by the Danube River. Today, it is the largest city in Hungary and thought to be one of the most beautiful in Europe.
The Fisherman's Bastion is a main attraction in Budapest, offering spectacular panoramic views of the city.
Buda Castle (above) holds the Hungarian National Gallery and the Budapest History Museum. It sits stauntly overlooking the Danube River.
